Sugarcats awards its prestigious "Paw Salutes Award" to web sites. Nominees are awarded the site based on at least one of the following criteria:

  • Contribution to the welfare of cats
  • Contribution to the welfare of animals in general
  • Contribution to the welfare of those people who care for animals

All of the criteria are judged equally. To be considered, a web site must be nominated, preferrably by someone other than the site's owner or webmaster. The site will be judged based on the three criteria above. Not all sites will receive the award, and a limited number of awards will be given out each month. Therefore, a nominated site may not receive the award for several months. Nomination is not a guarantee that the award will be given.

Sites that win the award may display the award on the site, provided the award logo is not changed and the logo links back to the Sugarcats site.
