Good luck. And remember to poke your ear to check for dire beasties after you get steroids! LOL!
Jerri
Hope it works for you.
Jamie
Good luck? What's wrong?
Sharon
Wishing you and your medical team all the best, Mary. And good vibes and wishes to your wonderful husband, too.
What wrong?
Galloping osteo-arthritis
Ankles, knees, hips, back and now begigig in my elbows buit I'm keeping quiet abot that!
I had waited 6 weeks for the right foot to be done, which has to be done in an op theatre under xray
I had to see the surgeon first to check what they were doing, and I told him that I was going to my doc about my knee trouble and the fact thazt the left foot was giving up too, so he could expect to bsee me again. Then he said the magic words
"I could do that as wellif you like"
LIKE?? I could have kissed him
So I went back to the waiting room, and showed opff that I had two black arrows when the rest of the patients had only one. How nice to get off the trolley, WITH NO PAIN IN THE FEET
Hooray for the NHS
So happy to read this Mary hope it lasts forever!
Jerri is so right--life is hard enough without having every footstep be painful. Bless that surgeon--finally, a sensible person!
Unfortunately, it usually lasts about 3 months, but I wont get any more for 6 months however this is the new "foot" expert and he said that if this didnt work he would think again.
Heres hoping!
Wishing you the very best results possible.

Mary I totally empathize. Mine is off to the races...a budding filly, but I know what the future is for my bones. I've had the maximum shot of cortisone in my thumb...next time it's surgery unless it responds to acupuncture and exercise.
Much Hope coming to you from Oregon!

One week later....
My swollen ankles are back to the slimness of a teenager!
Long may it last
Daria
Yay!
Oh Mary this is wonderful news. Wishing you that it lasts forever!
Oh what delightful news, I am so happy!
Judy (and Daphne who is on my lap purring her heart out at you)
That's good news. Now that's it been a couple of weeks, how are those teenage legs doing?
Not too bad. Today I'm off to have xrays on THAT knee.
The one they took the kneecap away 20 odd years ago.
I have to wear a brace to stop it turning sideways, but it started to give way under me.
I think its about time I had the new knee promised 30 years ago!
I have enough arthritic joints to keep orthopedics busy for years ( score 4 surgeons and counting!)

Mary, my husband has had both knees replaced because of osteoarthritis. He thinks it's the best thing he has ever done (well, besides marry me).
Mary,
Hi Abbie
That is a fabulous update! Long may the h*n*ym**n continue!
Heeee heeeee heeee, Jojo!!
